The weather is always the easiest way to miss the ball on packing. Oddly enough I did the same in Africa and that’s where I learned my first lesson in packing: always check the weather!

I suck at over-preparing. I barely check weather forecast for the week period. I was in Hong Kong in March and I expected it to be super warm, but in fact it was chilly and I ended up wearing the same pair of jeans for a week, until I bought the new ones.
